The LaPorte County Horse and Pony is a 501(c)3 organization. We rely on fundraisers, community and parent support, and businesses to assist us in perpetuating the mission of 4-H thru our love of horses. We have nearly 200 youth that participate in our program every year.
Each member of the Horse and Pony Club has to pay dues to Indiana, as well as, to the Club. These dues help offset the costs of the program but it is not enough to cover all of the expenditures for the annual Fair. Each year the program costs about $15,000. Perhaps you would like to assist in sponsoring a portion of these major areas:
- Awards
- Trophies – $2500
- High Point Awards – $400
- Five Year Member Jackets – $975
- Senior Banners and Plaques – $455
- First Year Member Trophies – $150
- Stall Decoration Awards – $100
- Security – $2750
- Judges – $6000
Excess funds as they may arise can be utilized for additional educational opportunities for our youth, necessary miscellaneous supplies, and future enrichment of the Horse and Pony Club.
The sponsorship levels for the 2023 Season will include:
- Recognition on our newsletter, web site, and social media
- Recognition on the show bill during fair
- Recognition on a banner/sign to be displayed at the fairgrounds
